Looking for healthy snacks for kids with fewer grains, carbs and sugar? In a new editorial in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, experts say we all eat way too much sugar. That no amount of exercise can reverse eating too many sweets, and all this sugar is leading to serious problems for everyone. “Poor diet now generates more disease than physical inactivity, alcohol and smoking combined.” Ugh.
Articles like this one are a lightbulb for me because we eat more carbs and sugar than I think we do. Than I mean for us to. Project Rein It In is about to start, and kids’ snacks seem like a great place to start. I’m not advocating Paleo anything or eating like a caveman, just throwing a few grain-free snacks into the mix.
