Preheat the grill. Place salmon on a piece of aluminum foil and slather thickly with pesto.
Wrap the foil into a packet, creating a seam on top. Place on the grill at about 500 degrees F. (I like to use the top rack but it works fine directly on the flames.)
Cook for 15 minutes, or until the salmon is JUST flaky.
