Phoebe’s Fantastic Microwave Fudge (That Cooks in 5 Minutes Flat!)

Ingredients

  • 32-ounce bag powdered sugar (78 cups)
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup salted butter (2 sticks), cut into 1-2 tablespoon pieces
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 cups raw walnuts, chopped or whole
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla

Instructions

  1. Pour the powdered sugar into a large microwave-safe bowl and whisk in the cocoa powder until incorporated.
  2. Place the butter on top of the cocoa mixture. DO NOT STIR.
  3. Pour the milk on top. DO NOT STIR.
  4. Microwave for 5 minutes.
  5. Now stir until fully incorporated. We used handheld beaters to remove any lumps.
  6. Add the walnuts and vanilla, stirring again.
  7. Pour into a half-sheet pan (18″x13″) or a casserole dish, lined with parchment paper.
  8. Set for about an hour in a cool place (we used the fridge).
  9. Pull the sides of the parchment paper up to remove the whole slab of fudge and cut into small pieces.
