PrintNo Cook Pizza Sauce Kids Can Make
This super simple no cook pizza sauce comes together in minutes. From my book, “Pizza School“.
Ingredients
1 garlic clove
3/4 cup diced tomatoes (about 1 medium tomato or half a 14.5 ounce can)
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1/2 teaspoon sugar
5–6 fresh basil leaves or 1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Start with the garlic. Chop the garlic in the food processor. Plus a few times to get it finely chopped.
Prep the tomatoes. If you’re using a can, open the can of tomatoes and pour them into a strainer over the sink. The extra liquid will drain away. If you’re using fresh tomatoes, chop them into 4 pieces and add to the food processor.
Puree the sauce. Add the tomatoes, olive oil, sugar, basil, salt and pepper to the garlic in the food processor. Turn the food processor on and let it run for 20-30 seconds, until all the ingredients are combined into a smooth red sauce.
That’s it! All you need to make no cook pizza sauce is a handful of ingredients and a blender. Then you’re ready to roll.
