SMOOTHIES. AN EASY SNACK FOR KIDS. A healthy snack for kids. What’s not to love?
Plus, smoothies are so versatile. If you want something refreshing that won’t ruin the kids’ appetites before dinner, blend up this combination:
- 1 banana
- 2 cups frozen fruit, in this case peaches
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup
If you’re looking for a snack that will TIDE THE KIDS OVER until dinner, add protein. Yogurt? Tofu? Even an avocado works.
To this one we added a pinch of pure maple syrup, which made it taste like peaches and cream.

I love the idea of adding protein! My kids have such a sugar crash between meals. Trying this one ASAP. Thanks!

They ARE good, Ann. I think your crew will love them. And if for some reason they don’t drink the whole pitcher, pour all that goodness into popsicle molds. We made an even simpler version of these as peaches & cream popsicles a while ago and they’re amazing.
