Double Chocolate Slow Cooker Oatmeal

Word to the wise: Be clear about how many chocolate chips each person gets before even getting them out of the pantry. I think 5 is reasonable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • chocolate chips and berries

Instructions

  1. Oil your slow cooker to help with sticking.
  2. Use a medium bowl to combine sugar, cocoa powder, salt, water and milk.
  3. Add oats and stir.
  4. Pour everything into the slow cooker and set on low for 6 hours. (Your slow cooker will turn to “Warm” when it’s done cooking.”
  5. Garnish with a few chocolate chips and fresh berries.
