You need exactly 2 ingredients to make the best grilled salmon recipe I’ve ever had. This recipe is a hit with all four of my kids eat AND my go-to crowd pleaser for dinner parties.
I learned how to make this grilled salmon recipe from my mom and brother when we were home in Washington this spring–and I’ve been making it pretty much non-stop ever since.
We finally got a grill last year and this is my favorite thing to make on it. To be clear, I’m not excellent on the grill. I’m just not. But trust me, if I can master this salmon, you can. Anyone can.
How to make the best grilled salmon recipe I’ve ever had–and my kids Love
Preheat the grill. Place salmon on a big piece of aluminum foil and slather thickly with pesto.
Wrap the foil into a packet, creating a seam on top. Place on the grill at about 500 degrees F. (I like to use the top rack but it works fine directly on the flames.)
Cook for 15 minutes, or until the salmon is JUST flaky–and serve!
