It’s official. Strawberry Overnight Oats are the kids’ favorite new breakfast.
We’ve made (and loved) Chia Seed Pudding for years. And don’t forget my oldest daughter’s favorite Fresh, Fruity Summer Porridge. We do Apple Pie Oatmeal in the microwave and use the slow cooker for Double Chocolate Steel Cut Oats.
But this super simple technique is a game changer for a healthy breakfast kids will eat. With glee.
What You Need to Make Strawberry Overnight Oats
For oats:
- Old-fashioned oats (not quick cooking)
- Chia seeds
- Yogurt
- Milk of any kind (dairy, almond, etc.)
For garnish:
- Strawberry fruit spread or jam
- Strawberries
- Granola, if you like
How to Make Strawberry Overnight Oats
- Assemble the ingredients in a big bowl or individual containers, starting with oats and chia seeds.

3. Pour in the milk and stir.
4. Refrigerate overnight.
5. In the morning, stir in fruit spread or jam.
6. Add strawberries and granola if using.

It’s such an easy way to have a fresh breakfast on the table, and one that sticks with kids throughout the day. Bonus: No added sugar! The fruit spread does the job, and so deliciously.
